The iceberg model of the mind suggests that similar to an iceberg floating in water, much of our mental activity is below the surface or unconscious, while only a small portion is visible above the surface or conscious.
Think of your unconscious mind as being part of your internal world which is currently out of your awareness but plays a significant role in influencing your behaviors, emotions, and thoughts. Together, we will make your unconscious more conscious or, in other words, bring into your awareness aspects of yourself of which you are unaware. Ideally this process will lead to both greater understanding of yourself and emotional healing.
